What We Do

By following the mission of responding to the human hurts and hopes of persons in Lake County who are homeless, we provide emergency shelter, care, and ongoing guidance in the name and for the sake of Jesus Christ.

Project Hope’s major programs:

  1. Project Hope – Adult Wing – This wing is dedicated to men and women experiencing homelessness. The shelter opens up nightly from 7p.m. to 6:30a.m. It also provides outside resources for areas including but not limited to budgeting, housing, job skills, mental health assistance and drug addiction.
  2. Families Moving Forward – A separate wing of the facility designated for men and women with children, that provides a nurturing environment for children to receive the care and guidance they need. It is open from 1p.m. to 6:30a.m. It also provides outside resources for parents in areas including but not limited to budgeting, housing, job skills, mental health assistance and drug addiction.
  3. Aftercare – A member of Project Hope’s staff provides support to former guests weekly via phone and in-person visits. This ongoing contact allows us to help our guests maintain success with budgeting, healthy eating, addiction issues and much more.
